South Africa vs England 3rd ODI Live Streaming

Six wins from seven starts a statistic that looked like an anomaly is starting to take on a life of its own, as England continue their improbable dominance of South Africa in 50-over cricket. At Centurion on Sunday, Paul Collingwood marked his national-record 171st appearance with a sublime allround performance, as England exacted satisfying vengeance for their humiliation in the previous week's second Twenty20.

Their seven-wicket victory showcased the unfamiliar vein of confidence that is running through the squad at present, and while Andrew Strauss has made caution a watchword throughout his impressive tenure as England captain, it's fair to suggest that they have got their opponents a little bit rattled at present.

Mickey Arthur, South Africa's coach, has not been short of a word or two in this series, but his attempts at psychological warfare have so far fallen on impassive ears. Jonathan Trott, the principal object of his ire, ignored the boo-boys and fronted up with a critical 87 to anchor England's run-chase at Centurion, and though Arthur's other target, Adil Rashid, has been rather subdued in his two appearances to date, he can hardly be regarded as a pivotal figure in England's plans just yet.

Indian cricket's prodigal son Sreesanth returned to international cricket in style with a five-for, and six wickets overall, to leave Sri Lanka staring at defeat in the second Test in Kanpur. Sri Lanka, forced to follow on after tea, were tottering in the second innings still 356 runs adrift with six wickets standing.

Though India's spinners and Sri Lanka's batsmen - the senior-most duo contrived a run-out while following on - contributed to the collapse, most of the work was done by Sreesanth, playing his first international game in 19 months. For nine successive overs in the first session, and for seven on the trot in the second, he ran in hard, hit the deck and found life in a slow pitch. He led the way in the second innings too, removing Tillakaratne Dilshan with a leg cutter, before Sri Lanka started to disintegrate against spin.

It was a classic grind-to-dust approach by the Indians led by Dravid, who, during the course of his 28th century went past Allan Border's run tally in Tests. The stand-out factor in Dravid's batting during this series has been his intent. He's been decisive, in defense and attack, and has been aggressively looking to score. Today he displayed the full repertoire: the charges down the track, the gorgeous inside-out cover drives on a stretched front foot, and the skillful punches off the back foot all were there but what stood out was a late cut against Mendis. The ball was skidding towards off stump, Dravid checked his forward press, waited for the ball to arrive before opening the blade and gliding it past backward point. There was no violence, just pure timing, and the stroke captured the spirit of his innings.

It was a run orgy at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur. The first session witnessed a semblance of battle, at least in the first hour, but play for the rest of the day was a one-way street heading India's way. Gautam Gambhir notched up his seventh hundred in nine Tests, Virender Sehwag completed a feisty century, Rahul Dravid was close to his ton and India posted the highest total scored in a day in a Test in India.

The situation was summed up by the sight of Rangana Herath bowling over the stumps and outside leg to the newly arrived Dravid. It said so much about what Sri Lanka were thinking and about how totally India had dominated. Things are likely to get worse for Sri Lanka with the pitch expected to break up in a couple of days.

It wasn't just the runs, it was the manner in which they were compiled from the second hour on that was telling. The batsmen seemed to do as they wished: Gambhir punctuated his charges down the wicket with delicate late cuts, Sehwag went either inside-out or carved across the line as his mood seized him, and Dravid, who hit the last ball of the day for a boundary, pierced the off-side field at will.

  • The Green Park has 20 Tests so far, of which 12 have been drawn. Recent games have been more result oriented, though, with only three draws in the last seven Tests.
  • India have a good record here, winning three of the last six Tests and drawing the others. The last time they lost in Kanpur was way back in 1983, against West Indies.
  • Samaraweera averages a cracking 115.33 against India in Sri Lanka but has a measly average of 22.40 from six innings in India. Muralitharan's bowling averages too are similarly skewed: He averages a poor 42.58 from 12 innings in India.
  • Virender Sehwag averages 50 in five Tests against Sri Lanka, but only 18.66 in two games against the same team at home. Of his 400 runs, 251 came in one Test.
  • These two teams played each other only once in Kanpur, in 1986, and it was a high-scoring draw. They couldn't finish even the first innings; Sri Lanka were all out for 420 and India were 676 for 7 when the curtains fell on the Test.
  • In 20 Tests at this ground, only once has the team winning the toss chosen to field - India did it way back in 1964, in a drawn game against England.

South Africa vs England 1st ODI Live Streaming at Johannesburg

Watch South Africa (Rsa) vs England (Eng) 1st ODI live streaming free on your PC at 14:30 local time (12:30 GMT) on 20th Nov. England and South Africa shared last week's Twenty20 series 1-1, but that scoreline disguises the staggering gulf that emerged between the sides in the second of the two fixtures at Centurion. Eoin Morgan's unbeaten 85 from 45 balls in the first match had set English pulses racing, but two days later, his effort was put into stark context by Loots Bosman and Graeme Smith, whose world-record 170-run opening stand came from a ridiculously rapid 13 overs.

South Africa vs England 1st ODI Live Streaming

South Africa duly won a farcically one-sided contest by 84 runs (and by 17 sixes to six), in a declaration of intent that has since been backed up by Mickey Arthur's bellicose comments in the press. "No more Mr Nice Guys" is the message being sent out, and England's South African middle-order of Jonathan Trott and Kevin Pietersen can expect to bear the brunt of the new nasty edge.

Pietersen, however, has seen it all before - nothing will ever compare to the reception he received on his first tour to South Africa in 2004-05, and on that occasion he responded with three centuries in five innings. Trott, meanwhile, has been one of England's most consistent performers on the tour so far, most recently in the warm-up at Potchefstroom, where he made 78 from 89 balls to overcome South Africa A.

England's biggest concerns are all internal ones, with two players - Graeme Swann and Stuart Broad - already ruled out of the first two ODIs, and a host of key players, including Paul Collingwood and James Anderson, fighting for full fitness. Andrew Strauss, who missed the Twenty20s, returns to resume his rivalry with Smith, the man whom he refused a runner during an heroic but futile century in the Champions Trophy back in September.

Sri Lanka gave themselves a minimum of 135 overs and an ample cushion of runs to try and register their first Test win in India, but the Ahmedabad pitch got deader and deader with every passing minute. Gautam Gambhir got into long-innings mode, reminiscent of his match-saving effort in Napier earlier this year, but Chanaka Welegedara brought Sri Lanka right back with Rahul Dravid's wicket 15 minutes before stumps.

Sri Lanka seemed a little unsettled by a charmed innings from Virender Sehwag who survived his own ambitious mindset to score an aggressive half-century. The Sri Lankan fast bowlers failed to replicate the swing they got in the first innings, and apart from a few moments of indiscretion from Sehwag, it seemed they would spend the day without a wicket.

Jayawardene was supported by Thilan Samaraweera in the first session, Prasanna Jayawardene in the second and third, and by muddled thinking from India in both. Their fast bowlers couldn't generate any swing, conventional or reverse, but still looked the only ones capable of making things happen. The only blip for Sri Lanka came when Samaraweera was set up by Zaheer Khan and dismissed by Ishant Sharma, but Jayawardene had started assuredly, and never gave India a serious look-in. Despite that Mathews wicket to what turned out to be the last ball before lunch, the Jayawardenes thwarted any hopes of a quick Indian comeback.

Rahul Dravid's 27th century - and tenth 150-plus score - carried more intent than probably any of his Test innings, and helped by MS Dhoni's second century and Yuvraj Singh's seventh half-century, led India's remarkable comeback from 32 for 4 in the first half hour. Along the way, he took part in his 77th and 78th 100-run partnerships (both world records), scored more runs than he ever has in a day's play, crossed Steve Waugh to become the fifth-highest run-getter in Tests, reached 11,000 career runs, and most importantly undid the superb start that two rookies gave Sri Lanka. Chanaka Welegedara and Dammika Prasad were last-minute replacements for Nuwan Kulasekara and Thilan Thushara, but they combined to give India flashbacks of their previous Test in Ahmedabad, when they were shot out for 76 by South Africa.

India 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 VVS Laxman, 6 Yuvraj Singh, 7 MS Dhoni (capt/wk), 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Zaheer Khan, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Amit Mishra.

India's first Test in more than seven months began on a good note: MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bat on a good, hard Ahmedabad pitch, "very different from the one we last played on". The last Test that Dhoni referred to was the one against South Africa, when India were shot out for 76 on the first morning.

Sri Lanka, even though they have played regular Test matches and risen to No. 2 in the rankings, were looking to win a Test in India for the first time. They started off with a slightly strange selection: Nuwan Kulasekara and Thilan Thushara, their two successful fast bowlers, were not on the final list, neither was Ajantha Mendis. Dammika Prasad and Chanaka Welegedara, total experience of four Tests between them, were to take the new ball, and left-arm spinner Rangana Herath playing in place of Mendis.

India 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 VVS Laxman, 6 Yuvraj Singh, 7 MS Dhoni (capt/wk), 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Zaheer Khan, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Amit Mishra.

Watch Pakistan (Pak) vs New Zealand (Nz) 2nd T20 live streaming free on your PC at 20:00 local time (16:00 GMT) on 12th Nov.Brendon McCullum, New Zealand's stand-in captain, is not looking too much into defeat to Pakistan in the first Twenty20. McCullum oversaw a 49-run loss in the first of two fixtures after New Zealand lost Daniel Vettori to a concussion, Kyle Mills to a shoulder injury and Jacob Oram to paternal leave, but was not too crushed at defeat against the world champions.

Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd T20 Live Streaming

McCullum's decision to field was prompted to a degree by Australia's capitulation for 108 at the same venue in May, but it proved a costly one as Pakistan raced to 160 thanks largely to the opener Imran Nazir's 38-ball 58. "We looked at the stats and looked at the pitch and thought it might offer some assistance to the bowlers," McCullum said. "I thought it did that - we just didn't execute as well as what we should've with our fourth and fifth bowler. I think 140 was probably a par score."

Imran Nazir scored a quickfire 58 as Pakistan posted 161 in the first Twenty20 International against New Zealand in Dubai

New Zealand had only 11 players to choose from for the Twenty20 internationals, as Kyle Mills is recovering from an injured shoulder, and James Franklin nursing an injured back. Allrounder Jacob Oram, too, is missing, for he had to return to New Zealand for the birth of his first child. During the first Twenty20, Aaron Redmond picked up a groin strain while bowling, forcing New Zealand to use a half-fit Franklin as a substitute.

South Africa vs England 1st T20 Live Streaming at Johannesburg

Watch South Africa (Rsa) vs England (Eng) 1st T20 live streaming free on your PC at 18:00 local time (16:00 GMT) on 13th Nov. England's two-and-a-half-month tour of South Africa begins in earnest on Friday with the first of two Twenty20 internationals at the Wanderers as both sides look to make an opening statement. Having the one-day leg of the tour first means it won't be buried after the main event of the Tests and should retain importance.

South Africa vs England 1st T20 Live Streaming

The winners will say Twenty20 allows them to build momentum, while the losers will quickly brush off the significance of the matches ahead of the one-day series next week. However, there is still a sense, outside of the World Twenty20, that internationally this format is still the third priority.

England's preparations were going well until their defeat against South Africa A when the batting subsided for 89 all out, while injuries haven't helped the planning. Paul Collingwood takes the reins for the Twenty20s before Andrew Strauss returns for the one-dayers which also creates a slightly disjointed feeling about the tourists' line-up.

South Africa, on the other hand, were hitting their stride against Zimbabwe with a crushing 212-run victory in the second ODI at Centurion. The home side will use the Twenty20s as a chance to give all the players in the squad a run, with the exception of the injured Wayne Parnell, but there is also the need to prepare for next year's ICC World Twenty20. For both teams the next two matches could be the only Twenty20 games they play before that global event in West Indies.

Pakistan vs New Zealand 1st T20 Live Streaming

Watch Pakistan (Pak) vs New Zealand (Nz) 1st T20 live streaming free on your PC at 20:00 local time (16:00 GMT) on 12th Nov. Pakistan face their own demons with the bat; the terrible shot selection that brought their downfall in the ODI decider prompted Afridi to liken his batsmen to "club cricketers", and the comparison will only be reinforced in the event of a repeat.

Pakistan vs New Zealand 1st T20 Live Streaming

After a riveting end to the ODI series, which New Zealand won 2-1, the focus turns to the Twenty20s, which Pakistan will feel they are better placed to trump. Pakistan conceded the ODI series in typically erratic fashion, making a meal of a chase of 212 before a phenomenal fightback staged by Mohammad Aamer and Saeed Ajmal ensured the game was settled in the final over. They will be disappointed by a fifth consecutive ODI series defeat, especially one they were well poised to win, but the Twenty20 games in Dubai present an opportunity to redress that.

Ross Taylor has proved destructive in the death overs in this format. His exploits in the IPL and the Champions League Twenty20 are well known but his performances on the international circuit - he averages 23.68 in Twenty20 internationals against 34.31 overall - have been less successful. He'll want to change that.

Sachin Tendulkar: That dazzling century at Hyderabad aside, he has contributed just 100 in five innings. This, though, is a special game, the first time he'll be playing in front of his home crowd since the terror attacks in Mumbai a year ago. Some of his greatest innings against Australia have come in Mumbai (twin fifties in the Test in 2001, and 90 in the World Cup of 1996), but they never resulted in Indian wins. He'll be desperate to change that.

Doug Bollinger: A generation ago, Brett Schultz's left-arm pace caused India immense discomfiture on a tour of South Africa. Bollinger, who's as quick and more accurate, has had a similar impact since his introduction into this series, taking nine wickets at 19.33. The caught-and-bowled dismissal of Tendulkar was the big moment in the six-wicket romp in Guwahati, and there should certainly be enough bounce at the Navi Mumbai venue to keep him interested.

rootzoo.com : Australia have won the series and the 7th ODI just becomes significant from a statistician’s point of view; probably another last chance for India to play their best.

The mighty Aussies (they deserved to be called so) have come to the subcontinent with no big names and played with almost a second rated team and have gotten unassailable lead of 4 games to 2 and the 7-match ODI series will conclude with the last one day match in Mumbai on Wednesday.

If the 5th ODI had been a close finish and seen a swinging of fortunes until the last over, the 6th ODI had been a boring one to say the least. India won the toss and elected to bat at Nehru Stadium, Guwahati only to disappoint the fans who thought that they would see the top order fire. The first 5 wickets fell under 30 runs and it must have taken resilience on part of youngsters like Jadeja and Praveen Kumar to take to 170 runs. The small total was chased with little effort by the Aussies.

India vs Australia 6th ODI Live

Watch India vs Australia 6th odi live streaming free with good quality on your PC at 09.00 local time on 8th Oct. Australia's captains Ponting happy with batsman but he got lot of frustration from bowling side. Except Bollinger and McKey nobody performed well from bowling side.

Ravindra Jadeja has found a fair amount of criticism in the local newspapers for his inept running during the previous game but the lack of another allrounder means he should keep his place. His bowling has been handy so far, bar the last game where everyone but Harbhajan Singh bled runs, so that should work in his favour. Munaf Patel got one game and was awful, so he could well be replaced by Sudeep Tyagi; that is, if India choose to throw the youngster into the ring with the series on the line.

* The best bowling figures at the Nehru Stadium belong to Robin Singh, who took 5 for 22 here in 1997.
* Tendulkar more than doubled his run tally with his 175 and now sits just behind Michael Hussey with 265 for the series.
* After starting the series with two poor matches with the ball, Shane Watson is now the highest wicket-taker with eight at 24.12.

Australia (probable): Shane Watson, Shaun Marsh, Ricky Ponting (capt.), Michael Hussey, Cameron White, Adam Voges, Graham Manou (wk), Andrew McDonald/Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Hauritz, Clint McKay, Doug Bollinger.

India(probable): Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni (capt/wk), Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel/Sudeep Tyagi, Ashish Nehra.

The game was evenly balanced mid way during the chase with India in consolidation mode at 101 for 3, but Yuvraj and Dhoni slowly and surely pulled India ahead. They batted with restraint while settling in on this track because, as Michael Hussey proved earlier during an unbeaten 81, batting got easier with more time spent on it.
They scored largely in singles and twos before Yuvraj attacked in the 34th over with 94 needed in 17 overs. He flicked for six and hit an extra-cover drive off Moises Henriques before he repeated the sequence next over with a bludgeoned six over long-on and a square-driven boundary against Adam Voges. The momentum shifted permanently after that and Yuvraj played several exquisite drives. He fell 29 runs short of the target but Dhoni struck a couple of boundaries to ward off any hiccups.
Australia had tried their best to apply the squeeze in the middle overs of the chase with the spin-seam combo of Nathan Hauritz and Doug Bollinger. The fast-improving Hauritz slowed his pace and punctuated his offbreaks with the one that went on with the arm. Dhoni chose to play Hauritz off the back foot while Yuvraj pressed forward. Bollinger, who replaced Ben Hilfenhaus, bowled a nagging line and length to strangle the batsmen. Peter Siddle, too, was economical and Australia's bowling, in the absence of Brett Lee and a quality spinner, was as tight as Ponting could hope for but perhaps they had erred in their conservative estimate of a total on this sluggish track.
Once Australia decided not to play specialist opener Shaun Marsh, and possessing a thin middle-order inexperienced in such conditions, they were going to depend heavily on Ponting, Hussey and Shane Watson to reach a competitive total. Their approach seemed to indicate wariness that a collapse was never too far away on a demanding surface. Ponting, who opened only for the second time in his 327-ODI career in Tim Paine's absence, and Watson didn't try anything fancy during a sedate but solid start before Hussey took charge of seeing Australia through to the finish.
